We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
