Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 They say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
