Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 we are they that give glory. 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That they would be helped, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
