Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 we are the rangers, 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 What though they would say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
