Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
