S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Sad. By the renowned Qur'an, 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape! 3 They are surprised that a warner should come to them from among themselves. They say, "This is a magician, a great liar. 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a wondrous thing' 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and earth and of what between them is? Why, then let them ascend the cords! 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
