Saad 3 of 5
We did not create heaven and earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who deny the truth. Woe betide those who deny the truth, when they are cast into the Fire -- 27 Do We consider the righteously striving believers equal to the evil-doers in the land? Are the pious ones equal to those who openly commit sin? 28 [All this have We expounded in this] blessed divine writ which We have revealed unto thee, [O Muhammad,] so that men may ponder over its messages, and that those who are endowed with insight may take them to heart. 29 AND UNTO DAVID We granted Solomon [as a son - and] how excellent a servant [of Ours he grew up to be]! Behold, he would always turn unto Us 30 When fast footed steeds were presented to him at evening. 31 He said: verily I have loved the love of earthly good above the remembrance of my Lord until the sun hath disappeared behind the veil. 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, so that it blew gently, at his behest, wherever he willed, 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 We said: "This is Our gift, so give or withhold as you wish without reckoning." 39 And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
