3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
