Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They say, 'Our Lord, whoso forwarded this for us, give him a double chastisement in the Fire!' 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
