Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
