۞ Say: "O creatures of God, those of you who have acted against your own interests should not be disheartened of the mercy of God. Surely God forgives all sins. He is all-forgiving and all-merciful. 53 Hence, turn towards your Sustainer [alone] and surrender yourselves unto Him ere the suffering [of death and resurrection] comes upon you, for then you will not be succoured. 54 And follow the best of that which hath been sent down unto you from your Lord there cometh on you torment of a sudden, while ye perceive not. 55 lest any human being should say [on Judgment Day,] "Alas for me for having been remiss in what is due to God, and for having been indeed one of those who scoffed [at the truth]!" 56 Or, "If only God had guided me, I would surely have joined the God-fearing." 57 Or, lest when it sees the punishment should say: 'O that I might return, and be among those that did good' 58 Yea! surely there came unto thee My revelations, but thou beliedest them and wast stiff-necked and wast of the infidels. 59 And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied against Allah (i.e. attributed to Him sons, partners, etc.) their faces will be black. Is there not in Hell an abode for the arrogant ones? 60 And Allah will deliver those who are the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) to their places of success (Paradise). Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs. 62 In His hands are the keys of the treasuries of the heavens and the earth. Those who reject God's revelations will be lost. 63
