It is Allah who has provided you with cattle, some that you ride and some that you eat, 79 There are advantages for you in them, so that you may satisfy your needs through them, and may be borne upon them and on ships. 80 And [thus] He displays His wonders before you: which, then, of God's wonders can you still deny? 81 Have they not travelled in the land to see the fate of those who went before them? They were more numerous and mightier and left greater traces of their power on the earth; yet all that they accomplished was of no avail to them. 82 And when their apostles came unto them with evidences, they exulted in the knowledge which was with them, and there surrounded them that which they had been mocking. 83 But when they saw Our punishment, they said: We believe in Allah alone and we deny what we used to associate with Him. 84 So their accepting of faith did not benefit them when they saw Our punishment; the tradition of Allah which has passed among His bondmen; and there were the disbelievers ruined. 85
