54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

HA MIM. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
