The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
