And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
