The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 Taste this, you are a person mighty and noble! 49 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 among gardens and fountains, 52 dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, and they will face each other: 53 Even so. And We shall pair them with fair damsels large-eyed. 54 They will call for every kind of fruit with satisfaction. 55 There they will not know any death apart from the first death they had died, and will be kept safe from the torment of Hell 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be on the watch; they too are on the watch. 59
