Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 and has made the mountains firm: 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity - 34 upon the day when man shall remember what he has striven, 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 then as for whosoever was insolent 37 And who chose the life of the world, 38 most surely his abode shall be Hell. 39 But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. 40 Then surely the garden-- that is the abode. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 You are only a warner to him who would fear it. 45 On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
