Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark). 1 But those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what is sent down to Muhammad -- and it is the truth from their Lord -- He will acquit them of their evil deeds, and dispose their minds aright. 2 This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. 3 So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish. 4 He will guide them and improve their state, 5 And He will admit them into Paradise – they have been made familiar with it. 6 O ye who believe! if ye shall succour Allah, He shall succour you and make firm your feet. 7 And for those who disbelieve – may they be ruined, and may Allah destroy all their deeds! 8 That is because they have been averse to what God has sent down, so He has made their works to fail. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 God is the guardian of the believers, but the disbelievers have no guardian. 11
