The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 Most beneficent, ever-merciful, 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee alone do we worship; and unto Thee alone do we turn for aid. 5 Show us the straight way, 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not of those on whom is indignation brought down, nor of the astray. 7

Almighty Allah's Truth.
