We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
