And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ And his companion shall say: 'Our Lord, I did not make him insolent, he was far astray' 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
