He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Each person will arrive attended by an [angel] to drive him on and another to bear witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
