Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
