Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Woe to the liars 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
