Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
