Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," 25 Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. 30 ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 31 They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, 32 so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 So they were not able to stand, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
