Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
