Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
