۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 and that hour you are watching 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
