(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
