Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up your breast 1 And removed your burden 2 Which had broken your back? 3 And exalted for you your esteem? 4 So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you finish the prayer, strive in supplication. 7 and turn to your Lord with longing. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
