Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
