So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
