Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
