Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
