(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
