Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
