Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
