The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 Created man, 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
