The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
