▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 47 Full of overhanging branches -- 48 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 49 With two springs of water flowing through them both. -- 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit. 52 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 There will be bashful maidens untouched by mankind or jinn before. 56 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 57 [There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And besides these two other gardens -- 62 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 65 In these there will also be two springs gushing forth. 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 In both gardens there will be fruits, palm-trees, and pomegranates 68 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 69 In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;- 70 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 73 Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 74 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 75 They shall be reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets. 76 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 77 Most Auspicious is the name of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. 78
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
