The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 and banana trees, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
