▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
