But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And that which ye see not. 39 That this is indeed the word of the noble Messenger, 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 And then severed his life-vein. 46 and none of you could have saved him! 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it). 49 And verily it shall be an occasion of anguish unto the infidels. 50 And indeed it is a certain Truth. 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
