But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 that this is the speech of a noble Messenger. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein. 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). 49 And indeed it is a despair for the disbelievers. 50 And verily it is the truth of assured certainty. 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52
