WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 On the right and on the left, in groups? 37 Does every one of them desire to enter the bountiful Paradise? 38 Never so. We have created them from what they know. 39 But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We verily are Able 40 to replace them with others better than them: nothing can prevent Us from doing this, 41 Then leave them alone to plunge and play until they encounter that day of theirs which they are promised, 42 the Day when they rush out of their graves as if racing towards a signpost, 43 with downcast eyes and faces distorted in shame; such is the Day which they are promised. 44
