Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Say, (O Prophet), it was revealed to me that a band of jinn attentively listened to (the recitation of the Qur'an) and then (went back to their people) and said: “We have indeed heard a wonderful Qur'an" 1 ‘That guides to the path of goodness, we have therefore accepted faith in it; and we shall never ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.’ 2 And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son, 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 ‘And indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.’ 6 And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger]. 7 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 We used to sit near by and try to listen to the heavens, but shooting flames now await those who try to do that. 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 Some of us are righteous, while others are not; we follow divergent paths. 11 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell. 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment. 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 Yet [thus it is] that whenever a servant of God stands up in prayer to Him, they [who are bent on denying the truth] would gladly overwhelm him with their crowds. 19
