Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Pen (Al-Qalam) before The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O you the (sleeping) enwrapped one! 1 Rise to pray in the night except a little, 2 A half of it or a little less 3 or a little more; and with recitation, recite the Koran. 4 Indeed We shall soon ordain a heavy responsibility upon you. 5 Indeed, the hours of the night are more effective for concurrence [of heart and tongue] and more suitable for words. 6 True, there is for thee by day prolonged occupation with ordinary duties: 7 So remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with exclusive devotion. 8 Lord of the East and the West; there is no god but He; so take Him for a Guardian. 9 Bear with patience what they say, and gracefully come away from them. 10 Leave those to Me who deny, the lovers of ease and comfort; and bear with them for a while. 11 Verily We shall have fetters with Us, and a roaring furnace, 12 And food that chokes and a painful punishment - 13 On a day when the earth and the mountains will tremble, and the mountains turn into dunes of flowing sand. 14 Surely We have sent to you an Apostle, a witness against you, as We sent an apostle to Firon. 15 but Pharaoh rebelled against the Messenger, so We seized him remorselessly. 16 If you, disbelieve, how will you be able to protect yourselves from the hardships of the day which would even turn children grey-headed? 17 Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished. 18 This is indeed an advice; so whoever wishes may take the path towards his Lord. 19

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
