No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
