▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
